ViralGet Limited (“ViralGet”, “we”) operates the platform at viralget.io. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights available to you under the Nigeria Data Protection Act/Regulation (NDPA/NDPR) and, where applicable, the GDPR.
1. Data we process
- Account data from users who sign up: name, email, company, job title, plan and authentication data.
- Usage data: searches, profiles viewed, saved lists, and basic logs used to operate and secure the service.
- Creator data: publicly observable information about influencers (handle, page URL, follower and engagement metrics) and, where available, business-contact details (e.g. management email).
- Payment data: handled by our processor (Paystack). We store only a record of the transaction, not card details.
2. Lawful basis & purpose
We process account and usage data to provide the service (performance of a contract) and to keep it secure (legitimate interests). Creator data is processed for the legitimate interest of enabling brands to evaluate potential collaborations, balanced against the rights of the individuals concerned. We do not sell personal data.
3. Creator data & your rights
Creators listed in our database can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information at any time. We honour objection and erasure requests for personal contact details promptly. To make a request, email admin@viralget.io or use our contact form.
4. Your rights
- Access a copy of your personal data.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability where technically feasible.
- Lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
5. Retention & security
We keep account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards as required by law. Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
6. Processors
We use a small number of processors to run the service, including our hosting provider, database provider, email provider, and Paystack for payments. Each is bound by appropriate data-protection terms.
